Terms of service
Last updated: September 05th, 2026
This is a translation of our German Allgemeine Geschäftsbedingungen. In the event of any discrepancy, the German version governs.
§ 1 Scope and provider
(1) These General Terms and Conditions apply to all orders placed through our online store at https://quiet-standard.com.
(2) The provider and your contractual partner is:
Seulki Löser, trading as Quiet Standard®, Wildparkstraße 18, 85586 Poing, Germany. Email: hello@quiet-standard.com VAT identification number: DE453841886.
(3) Our offering is directed exclusively at consumers within the meaning of § 13 BGB, meaning natural persons who make the purchase for purposes that are predominantly outside their trade, business or profession. We do not sell to resellers.
(4) Only these Terms apply. We do not accept deviating conditions unless we have expressly agreed to them in writing.
(5) You must be at least 18 years old and have full legal capacity in order to place an order with us.
§ 2 Formation of the contract
(1) The presentation of products in our online store does not constitute a legally binding offer, but a non-binding invitation to place an order.
(2) By clicking the button "Zahlungspflichtig bestellen" (order with obligation to pay) you submit a binding offer to purchase the goods in your shopping cart.
(3) After we receive your order, we send you an automatic acknowledgement of receipt by email. This acknowledgement does not yet constitute acceptance of your offer.
(4) The purchase contract is formed when we accept your order by way of a separate order confirmation or a dispatch confirmation, or when we dispatch the goods to you, whichever occurs first. Where you select a payment method involving immediate payment, the contract is formed upon confirmation of the payment transaction.
(5) We are entitled to decline an order, in particular where the goods are unavailable. In that case we will inform you without delay and refund any payments already made.
(6) Before submitting your binding order, you can correct your entries at any time using your browser's correction function or the editing function in the shopping cart.
§ 3 Contract language and storage of the contract text
(1) The contract may be concluded in German or English. The language you select during the order process is the applicable one.
(2) We store the contract text and send you the order details together with these Terms and the withdrawal instructions by email on a durable medium. The current version of these Terms is available at any time on this page. If you have created a customer account, you can view your past orders there.
§ 4 Prices and shipping costs
(1) All prices stated are final prices in Euro.
(2) Pursuant to § 19 UStG (small business regulation) we do not charge value added tax and therefore do not show it separately.
(3) Shipping costs are payable in addition to the price of the goods. The amount is clearly communicated to you during the order process before you place your order. Details of shipping costs, destinations and delivery times can be found in our Shipping Policy.
(4) For deliveries to countries outside the customs territory of the European Union, import duties, customs charges and handling fees may apply and are payable by you. Details are set out in our Shipping Policy.
§ 5 Payment terms
(1) We offer the following payment methods: credit and debit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) processed via Shopify Payments, Shop Pay, PayPal, Klarna, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
(2) The purchase price falls due for payment upon formation of the contract, unless a different due date applies to the payment method you select.
(3) Payment is processed by the payment service provider you select. That provider's terms and privacy notices apply in addition. Where you select a payment method offered by Klarna, you will be informed of Klarna's terms during the ordering process.
(4) All prices stated are total prices. As a small business within the meaning of Section 19 of the German Value Added Tax Act (UStG), we do not charge or show value added tax.
(5) In the event of late payment we are entitled to charge default interest at the statutory rate. We reserve the right to assert further damages caused by the delay.
(6) You have a right of set-off only where your counterclaim has been finally determined by a court, is undisputed, has been acknowledged by us, or stands in a legal reciprocal relationship to our claim. You may exercise a right of retention only where your counterclaim arises from the same contractual relationship.
§ 6 Delivery and shipping
(1) Delivery is made to the delivery address you provide. We deliver to the destinations listed in our Shipping Policy.
(2) Delivery times are non-binding estimates unless a binding delivery date has been expressly agreed.
(3) Until the goods are handed over to you, we bear the risk of accidental loss and accidental deterioration of the goods (§ 475(2) BGB).
(4) If the ordered goods are unavailable, we will inform you without delay and refund any payments already made.
(5) Details of shipping costs, handling times and the procedure for damaged or lost shipments are set out in our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
§ 7 Retention of title
The delivered goods remain our property until payment has been made in full.
§ 8 Right of withdrawal
(1) As a consumer you have a statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days. The details, conditions, time limits, cost consequences and the model withdrawal form are set out in our Withdrawal Instructions.
(2) The right of withdrawal does not apply to sealed goods which are not suitable for return for reasons of health protection or hygiene, if the seal was removed after delivery (§ 312g(2) No. 3 BGB). All of our products are supplied with a hygiene seal. Once the seal has been opened, withdrawal is excluded for the product concerned.
(3) You bear the direct cost of returning the goods.
(4) We do not grant a voluntary right of return beyond the statutory right of withdrawal.
§ 9 Liability for defects (statutory warranty)
(1) The statutory law on liability for defects under §§ 434 et seq. BGB applies. Your claims in respect of defects become time-barred two years after delivery of the goods. Where longer statutory warranty periods apply in your country of residence, those periods apply.
(2) Where a defect appears within twelve months of delivery, it is presumed that the goods were already defective at the time of delivery (§ 477 BGB).
(3) In the event of a defect you are first entitled to subsequent performance, which for our products regularly takes the form of a replacement delivery. We bear the expenses necessary for the purpose of subsequent performance, in particular the return shipping costs.
(4) If subsequent performance fails, is refused or is unreasonable, you may withdraw from the contract or reduce the purchase price. Claims for damages are governed by § 10 of these Terms.
(5) We do not grant any guarantee of our own beyond the statutory liability for defects, unless expressly declared in an individual case.
§ 10 Liability
(1) We are liable without limitation
- for intent and gross negligence,
- for damage arising from injury to life, body or health,
- under the provisions of the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz),
- to the extent of any guarantee we have assumed.
(2) In the case of a slightly negligent breach of a material contractual obligation, meaning an obligation whose fulfilment is essential to the proper performance of the contract and on whose observance you may regularly rely, our liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract at the time the contract was concluded.
(3) Otherwise our liability is excluded.
(4) The above limitations of liability also apply for the benefit of our legal representatives and vicarious agents.
§ 11 Product information and use
(1) Our products are cosmetic products within the meaning of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009. They are not medicinal products and are not intended to treat, alleviate or cure any disease.
(2) Please observe the directions for use and the full list of ingredients (INCI) on the packaging and on the relevant product page. If you have sensitive skin or known intolerances, we recommend testing the product on a small area of skin before first applying it over a larger area.
(3) If an undesirable effect occurs when using one of our products, please inform us at hello@quiet-standard.com, stating the product and the batch number. We are legally obliged to record such reports and, where necessary, to forward them to the competent authority (Art. 23 of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009).
(4) Images and colour representations may differ from the actual appearance of the product depending on your screen and device settings. Your statutory rights in respect of defects are unaffected.
§ 12 Customer account
(1) You can order from us with or without a customer account.
(2) Please keep your access credentials confidential and do not disclose them to third parties.
(3) You may have your customer account deleted at any time without giving reasons. Statutory retention obligations for completed orders remain unaffected; details are set out in our Privacy Policy.
(4) We may block or delete a customer account if you breach these Terms materially or repeatedly. We will inform you and, where reasonable, give you an opportunity to comment beforehand.
§ 13 Quiet Points loyalty programme
(1) Participation. Participation is free of charge and open to all consumers who create a customer account in our online store. You take part in the programme by creating a customer account. One account per person is permitted. There is no entitlement to participate.
(2) Earning points. You receive 2 Quiet Points for every full Euro of goods value in a completed order. Shipping costs and the portion of an order paid with redeemed points or vouchers do not earn points. Points are credited after the order has been dispatched.
(3) Birthday reward. If you voluntarily provide your date of birth in your customer account, you receive a birthday reward once a year. Providing your date of birth is voluntary and is not a condition of participation in the programme.
(4) Redeeming points. 100 Quiet Points correspond to a discount of €1.00. Points can be applied to the value of the goods during the order process. Payment in cash is excluded.
(5) No transferability. Points are personal to you, are not transferable to third parties, are not tradeable and do not constitute a monetary claim.
(6) Withdrawal and returns. If you withdraw from an order in whole or in part, the points credited for it will be reversed proportionately. Points you had redeemed against the withdrawn order will be credited back to your account.
(7) Validity. Points earned are valid for 24 months from the date they are credited. We will notify you in good time before they expire, by email to the address held in your customer account.
(8) Closing your customer account. Your participation ends when your customer account is deleted, and any points not yet redeemed expire.
(9) Changes to and termination of the programme. We may change or terminate the programme for objective reasons. We will inform you at least six weeks in advance by email. Points already earned remain redeemable for at least six weeks after the announcement.
(10) Misuse. In the event of misuse of the programme, in particular where the same person creates multiple accounts, we may cancel points and end your participation. We will inform you and, where reasonable, give you an opportunity to comment beforehand.
§ 14 Data protection
How we process your personal data, the legal bases that apply and the rights available to you are explained in our Privacy Policy.
§ 15 Dispute resolution
We are neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
§ 16 Final provisions
(1) The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, to the exclusion of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. This does not affect the mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country in which you have your habitual residence (Art. 6(2) Rome I Regulation).
(2) Should individual provisions of these Terms be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions is unaffected. The statutory provisions take the place of any invalid provision.
(3) We reserve the right to amend these Terms. For contracts already concluded, the version in force at the time the contract was concluded always applies.
